the loading plugin always shows 'loading...' no matter what is currently
done. this must be configurable.

also, a timeout should be available so that in case of an error in a plugin
that uses the loading plugin, the loading screen disappears after a while.

if a plugin has an error you cannot expect from the loading plugin to disappear.
