I put half-hole edges on the first prototype. The PCB house charges extra for this feature. If we used this as the module connection method, modules would be more costly and possibly take longer to make as not all board houses will do it.

I would like to use some sort of connector solution. A 2.0 mm header straddles the 1.6 mm PCB perfectly. A male header can be soldered onto the main PCB and to the module PCB. A male/female header pair can be used to make a reusable connection.

Male headers on the top panel can be used to support the top end of the module PCB.

We are going with 2x7 2.0 mm female headers straddle-mounted on the main board. There are locating nubs too. I think I can get connectors made with the nubs. screen shot 2016-08-08 at 15 03 10
