Expand logo curation to African companies #175

Hey there,

I'm a big fan of this project and I'm stoked to see that it has become the one-stop-shop for logos of Nigerian companies. My request kind of stems from a selfish place, albeit, I think it'd be beneficial to a whole lot of folks considering Paystack powers payment across Africa.

REQUEST

I think this logo collection should be expanded to accommodate companies located in other African countries. We could have a fork of this that translates to africalogos, where companies including those located in Nigeria can upload their logos.

What do you think? Is this something the team is considering? I'm happy to put in work to make this happen if need be.

@BolajiOlajide It's been 5 months damn, sorry. But better late than never.

Your idea is good, but I'm personally reluctant to pursue it.

What I mean is, I don't think we've figured out how to maintain and grow this one yet. We have just about 150 logos and not enough people participating. For me, it's like: where will we get African logos? are we diluting the brand too quickly? what responsibility do we have to fairly represent different countries? does the categorisation go out of hand? e.t.c.

Of course, this is only my personal opinion. The beauty of open source is that you're free to fork this project and create an africalogos if you want. You can also get support from the community here.

@fathermerry Just my exact take too. Mainly in the lines of: there are way more than 500 companies in Nigeria, and we barely have 150 logos. Also it's dubbed "Nigeria" but if you notice some multinational companies with base here have their logos there already. My take would be to continue as is and see how far this grows before reconsideration.
