Let's Redesign Our Front Page

Hello!

My name is Giacomo, nice to meet you all! I love this project and I would like to contribute. I'm into graphic design and currently diving into frontend development through an internship at a dataviz company.

My proposal is to make a complete graphical redesign of the front page . I plan to whip up a Figma mockup to show my ideas and get your feedback.

After and if we all agree on a direction, I'm down to roll up my sleeves and code these changes into reality. It'll be a cool way for me to contribute and grow my skills alongside you all.

What do you think? Excited to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

Hello Giacomo.

Your proposal is wonderful. The front page looks grim at the moment so your expertise in graphic design will be super helpful.

I am open to using new frameworks if that's what required to implement a new design (at the moment ChessCam uses Bootstrap 5).

In terms of features, I don't have any plans for more subpages, so you can assume that the current options on the frontpage will be (almost) all that is needed in the future.

Let me know how you get on with the Figma mockup and then we can start coding up the design into reality :)
