The family members of the same generation are not rendered on the same level (y axis).
I believe this must have been a design choice to avoid the tree from becoming too wide, however I find that it confuses people who I show my family tree.
It'd be nice to have the option of showing members of the same generation on the same level, if not by default then as a setting.
Below is the same tree, but with focus on different persons.
The first image is based on Elizabeth Shakespeare and the second on Robert Arden (above Mary Arden).
Personally, I find the second image nicer: It's more aesthetic and easier to understand.
It'd be great if the first image could have the same structure as the second.
