Design Scope

Briefly outline the design scope here.

Design a thermoelectric (i.e. Peltier-based) heating-cooling mechanism for air. The system should be:

• Dimmable for adjustable power output (i.e. dimmable constant current source)
• Polarity-switchable for change between heating and cooling (i.e. MOSFET H-Bridge)

Deliverables

Outline the implementation prototype and its components:

• [ ] Heater/Cooler Unit - Peltier-Heat Sink Sandwich
  • [x] Peltier Modules - Determine power output (single and quantity) from max heat transfer of box
  • [ ] Heat Sinks - Determine design from heat dissipation rate
  • [ ] Fans for distribution

PWM is less complex and cheaper than constant-current, and is comparably efficient when filtered properly

Two H-bridges, PWM-dimmable, Vsource up to 52V, output current up to 14A constant (when running both amplifiers+bridges in "parallel mode")
