[Error] Error reading character data #498

What version of Procurement are you using? On what operating system?
1.9.0 Windows 7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Login
2.starts downloading stash tabs..ok
3. Fails when downloading character data.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
.. well the error is:
[Error] Error reading character data for gtyure, if you are in offline mode you 
will need to login and update. If you received this error while logging in, the 
authenticated session may have expired or bad data has been returned by GGG or 
a network issue may have occurred - Please try again.

Please paste the contents of your DebugInfo.log file below if applicable.
To minimize the size of the file, delete your existing debuginfo.log file,
before replicating the issue.

PoE forums/site WAS down for maintenance for a short time a while ago, but is 
completely accessible now.

there has been a bug on character loading as described.
Seems the data pulled from GGG differs now with the new character tabs.
posted a temporary workaround tweak in the official POE forum.

Hi thanks for the workaround! But now my character inventories won't load. 
Everything else is fine though. Is this a downside to the workaround or can 
this be fixed?

... figured it out. Copy pasted the buyouts.xml and data.xml across from the 
root folder of the old version to the new. Don't know if this is proper but it 
worked :>
