Trait pages: work in progress. I am thinking about whether these should go in a template, the trait managers could add information to a YAML file or something.
Current status: After adding the jekyll-datapage-generator
plugin to the site's Gemfile
, and also in the plugins list in _config.yml
, the (HTML formatted) content for each file goes in _data/mas_traits.yml
, and the file template is _layouts/mas_traits.html
. This generates a page for each trait listed in _data/mas_traits.yml
. The pages are not created as files in mas/
, instead they live in _site/mas/
, so whenever you make changes to any of the above files, you have to rebuild the Jekyll site which regenerates the pages.
For more information about the plugin, see https://github.com/avillafiorita/jekyll-datapage_gen
Both the Markers and Genotypes table formats vary a bit between (old) trait pages, for example a set of related markers can go in a single table. I am thinking about how to generalize the formats.
In the Markers table, which should go first: "Size (bp) in susceptible or resistant lines"?
Peanut root-knot nematode page: link to oziasakinslab.org is broken.
In the Genotypes table, is "aAllele" a typo for "Allele"?
In the Markers table, which should go first: "Size (bp) in susceptible or resistant lines"?
I ask because in the current site, either one may be first depending on the trait. But I think susceptible should go first because allele A signifies that the genotype is susceptible to the trait, and allele B means it is resistant.
I moved the PDF files to falafel.
PDF files are in files/mas/pdf
, and image files are in files/mas/pics
.
