It's difficult to write tests and develop PEcAn.ED2 without test ED2 outputs that represent a variety of situations.
Ideal ED2 output has a little of everything:
multiple months and multiple years
multiple PFTs
multiple cohorts for at least 1 pft
different number of cohorts across time
ensemble runs
one ensemble run that fails part way through
