Is there a plan to support a dark version of the theme

I need help with

I have been using the theme for a couple of years now on my blog. I like the way the theme looks by default. But I've been waiting to see a dark version of the theme also/ Is there any plan for it? Considering several themes these days are allowing to switch between light and dark theme, it would be great to enable for my blog.

Even if there is no official plan to have a dark version of the theme, is there any combination of colors that are suggested/recommended to use for the ark theme? If I have the color combinations, I can try adding that myself.
