Zeus forward port: initramfs-init-script: Fix "mount" exit code check #794

The checks of mount's exit codes in this script don't do what was intended, so change them to do what was intended.

I don't want to have to put the fix in twice, so factor out the code into a function.

Note: This is a forward port of 6ac048425feb5b56eebf22a8137c8efe73f902ec from the warrior-dev branch.
