[BUG] Merging issues (e.g. duplicates) make app impossible to run #447

Describe the bug Merging has left a lot of issues in Dev 1.2, there is code duplicated between the different branches that were merged.

To Reproduce The application does not run at all. The first issue that arises is a db issue, but there are many other issues hidden.

Here's an example of duplicated code between Abigail's branch and Francis' branch

I looked at all the changes in the past 4 commits (all merging from April) and I only identified issues in models/__init__.py with duplicated code (as shown on the screenshot above). I removed the duplicated code and pushed it.
