Spawning Pool loses its mana ability when it becomes a creature

What is the expected behaviour of the card?

• Spawning Pool can tap for mana, regardless of whether it's a creature or not.

What is the actual behaviour of the card?

• Spawning Pool does not tap for mana if it's a creature (unless Cryptolite Rite or a similar effect is in play).

This bug was tested with many similar effects (Ghitu Encampment/Faerie Conclave/Treetop Village, Mishra's Factory/Blinkmoth Nexus, and Wandering Fumarole/Lavaclaw Reaches) and it always worked, so I think Spawning Pool is the only affected card.
