Paladin of Atonement's Upkeep Ability Never Triggers #1084

What is the expected behaviour of the card? On an upkeep after the controlling player lost life, Paladin of Atonement's ability should trigger putting a +1/+1 counter on it.

What is the actual behaviour of the card? The ability does not trigger under any circumstances.
