What is the expected behaviour of the card?
From Gatherer's Rulings section: If Boonweaver Giant isn't on the battlefield when its ability resolves, you can't put any Aura onto the battlefield. You may still search the appropriate zones and shuffle your library, if applicable.
What is the actual behaviour of the card?
If Boonweaver Giant isn't on the battlefield when its ability resolves, you can still put an Aura into play from your library, hand, or graveyard. It immediately goes to the graveyard. The aura's ETB abilties still trigger.
This is a may ability. An easy workaround is to say "no" to the Boonweaver ability.

Boonweaver enters the battlefield and triggers. Another effect is about to remove it from play.
Boonweaver has left the battlefield, but its ability is still on the stack.
Boonweaver's ability still puts an aura into play, allowing it to trigger ETB abilities before going to the graveyard.
