Mist of Stagnation doesn't allow players to choose untapped permanents, will soft-lock the game if there are not enough tapped permanents in the field to fulfil the requirements, and in random cases requires less number of tapped permanents than what should normally be required #790

As the person who (re?)discovered this bug and is actively playing it, allow me to provide some more insight. When the less-than-normal tapping number glitch occurs, the prompt still gives you the correct number. It will count down until it hits whatever the incorrect number is, and then the prompt abruptly closes. This prevents you from knowing how many you are going to untap, or if you are in the glitched state, until you've untapped everything already. I think the following statements are true, based on observation. I haven't been vigilant in checking every situation in which the glitch occurs, so I haven't seen any potential outliers. Nonetheless, the following are further avenues of investigation: -The less-than-usual glitch only seems to appear when you have a large (5+) amount of cards in your graveyard. -The less than usual glitch, when it triggers, may be using the number of the cards in your graveyard during the last time you untapped with them. -The less than usual glitch does not appear to affect your opponents. This may be because, however, the only time the opponent had a significant (5+) amount of cards in their graveyard, we caused the concession soft lock. -There has yet to be a greater-than-usual count. This may be because two numbers are assigned, and the prompt automatically closes.
