I tried setting up Vitest as agreed but it appears that there is limited or no direct support for Vitest with React Native and everything I found was 'work in progress' and probably not what we need right now.

I started to set Jest up as the test environment and immediately encountered problems with importing icons in Facility at which point I lost the will to live and am taking up knitting instead. That is not in any way a disparaging remark about knitting. I prefer knitting over Jest any day of the week!
What is currently needed to unblock this issue is someone who is not me.
