Motivation

Allow limiting requests by SM API Client username or source IP for anonymous requests

Approach

Define a request limiting filter for all SM endpoints as -> /**
Use in-memory store and index requests by username & ignore anonymous requests
In case the threshold of allowed requests per time interval is reached, fail the request
