It's not clear from your report what you think the bug is. The error message you show can be generated by both the $b and $c lines\, although your report implies that only the $c line has the error.

In both cases\, the

  l * $a

part of the expression is being parsed as

  l(*$a)

and doing a glob lookup on the string "1" contained in $a gives the error you see.

So at first glance I'm not seeing a bug here.
