Hi\, I install perl 5.8.8 and I already have version 5.6.1. How to make it working(version 5.8.8)? The installation was in usr/local and I redirect perl form that file to /usr/perl5 and remove it previous perl in /usr/perl5.When I try ./perl it show me following error​:

ld.so.1​: perl​: fatal​: libm.so.2​: open failed​: No such file or directory Killed

First\, if the old Perl was provided by your operating system vendor\, you probably shouldn't have removed it. You can simply have your scripts use the new Perl instead.

Second\, without knowing how you configured your new Perl\, its hard to determine any problems. Can you please send the output of the following command as a response to this email?

  perl -V
