Unable to import wallet

I am unable to import balance and transactions from an existing wallet (the bitcoin.com wallet, if that matters). I've used the import feature and made sure the memonic words are correct. I noticed that the default HD path in this project looks like m/44'/245'/0'/0/0, while in the wallet I'm trying to import from (the Bitcoin.com app) it looks like this 44'/0'/0'. But even after trying to change it and making sure to reload the page, and also trying variants with the leading m etc, I am still not able to find any trace of the balance or the related transaction. So reporting just in case I'm not the only one struggling, and possibly get more clues about what I need to do to get it working.
