The only source I have for one translation of the Mimes of the Courtesans by Lucian is a web site: https://www.sacred-texts.com/cla/luc/motc/index.htm.

How do I properly represent the fact that that is where I got the text and I was the one who converted it to XML and CTS?

AlisonBabeu commented 1 year ago

hey @gregorycrane well there are a few things going on here. The source edition is (https://www.worldcat.org/title/3742636) and would be used for the structured bibl plus some additional metadata regarding the fact that you had used the HTML version from https://sacred-texts.com/cla/luc/motc/index.htm.

So I think to begin with that would look like: `

Lucian The mimes of the courtesans A.L.H. New York Priv. Print. for Rarity Press 1928 HTML version of this edition was posted on Sacred Texts by John B. Hare
           <ref target="(https://sacred-texts.com/cla/luc/motc/index.htm">Sacred Texts</ref>
        </biblStruct>`

Then under the standard responsibility stmt `

Gregory Crane Conversion of HTML file to XML and conversion to Epidoc and CTS-XML

`

Maybe that would cover it?

I will make this perseus-eng6

AlisonBabeu commented 1 year ago

Why eng6, do we have five other versions of this?
