In both cases, @level was equal to 3 throughout, but I changed it to 1, which is what it seemed to be. I did not check a print edition to verify my edits.

I believe that the sense level is determined by the print as follows: I. (upper case Roman numeral) --> sense level 1 A. (upper case letter) --> sense level 2 1. (Arabic numeral) --> sense level 3

compare with this entry: http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/text?doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A1999.04.0059%3Aalphabetic+letter%3DO%3Aentry+group%3D18%3Aentry%3Doffundo

Ogygia and oppression both have only Arabic numerals, thus the sense level 3
