Add anchors to front page

Website request: can we add anchors/bookmarks to the main website so I can, for example, link directly to the event calendar part of our front page? Frequently need to refer people to our event calendar and the current way I do it is to say "go to our main website and scroll down to events... Scroll further... Not that far... Ok, a bit further down..."

Looks like anchors will need to be added to elements directly. Here for the calendar etc

Links for relevant sections will need to be added somewhere. The sitemap is probably the easiest spot. A separate list of all anchors (rather than just those that make sense to show to visitors should also be compiled somewhere.
