Final Fantasy XIII Update Incompatibility #249

Closed shinra358 closed 9 years ago

Coverage Sampling causes black screen.

Launching the game from the launcher causes the story words not to show on the loading screen.

Gedosato Borderless Window broken. Game won't start.

autohotkey borderless window broken too. tiny picture with rest of the screen black.

Edit: Everything above is with running the launcher first. Looks like I can use everything from Gedo without issue except Gedo borderless without running the launcher first (start game from bare exe). I would have to use autohotkey for the borderless tho.

This seems similar to my issue. This is my result with the latest update of both GeDoSaTo and FF XIII: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3907397/game/Screenshots/screenshot_2014-12-17_16-17-50_1.jpg

My user configuration file: http://pastebin.com/2HwPAhmn

I am using RivaTuner Statistics Server to lock ffxiiimg.exe to 30 FPS.

I have a 1080p monitor, and have an MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr 2GB graphics card.

EDIT: Well, I fixed my issue by setting the new FF XIII launcher settings back to default:

1280 x 720 Resolution x8 Antialiasing (x4 is what the default was in initial release of FF XIII, from what Peter says. I can't remember if this was the default in the new update) 2048x2048 shadow resolution (I think it was 1024x1024 at default. I can't remember...)

I'll remove the FF13 plugin in the future, as all it does is done by the game now.

@Drakonas Oh wow, I feel dumb now. Looking at your .ini I noticed that I was using the wrong value for enableCoverageSampling. I had it set to true and figured GeDoSaTo would take it from there. I didn't realize I had to specify which one I needed. Oops. XD Not that it matters anymore since that setting is now no longer used since the FF13 plugin was disabled.

@PeterTh Is there a way to have GeDoSaTo show you if a certain setting is enabled or disabled so that I can make sure I'm setting the right values for them? When I press VK_ADD all I get is the downsampling info and the AA and post-processing info. For example, I'm still not sure if the right value for enableCoverageSampling is 'true' or if it's supposed to be 'CSAA' or 'EQAA'. I'm guessing it should be 'true' but @Drakonas seems to think it's 'CSAA' or 'EQAA'.
