if the modem couldnt connect to internet, it wouldnt be able to access the virgin activation page, hence it wouldnt restart the router...
since virgin superhub's lack of the functionality to remote reboot. some people suggested to import/export config file to force the modem to restart itself... in absent of a better solution, i am going to implement this using a USB relay. cut the power to the modem if lost of internet connection, and feed the power back in after 5 seconds to simulate a reboot.
