I can't see the install button #15

It's not easy to understand the installation instructions, it took me a while to figure it out:

  1. Download and unzip Edgeware (green Code button)
  2. Install latest Python
  3. Download a premade package (scroll down)
  4. Unzip the premade package
  5. Create a folder "resource" under directory Edgeware-main\EdgeWare
  6. Put the content of the premade package into that resource folder. The resource folder "\Edgeware-main\EdgeWare\resource" should now contain the folders "aud", "img", "vid" and the files "discord.dat", "icon.ico", "prompt.json", "wallpaper.png", "web.json". Important: Don't put the entire package folder into "resource", it should contain only the listed content.
  7. Go to the Edgeware-main folder and open EdgewareSetup.bat. Follow the instructions / wait for the installation to finish.
  8. Go to \Edgeware-main\EdgeWare and open config.pyw (or use the config shortcut on your desktop). Here you can set up the software's behaviour.
  9. Activate "Run Edgeware on Save & Exit" and Save & Exit your settings (bottom of the settings window). To stop it, use the Panic shortcut.
  10. You can start it again by clicking \Edgeware-main\EdgeWare\start.pyw

And how do I disable it?

Alsweider commented 2 years ago

To stop the programme, you can use the panic shortcut (red X icon) on the desktop which is created with the installation, you can right click on the minimised Edgeware icon in the taskbar and choose "Panic", and you could probably use the task manager as well. If that doesn't help, restarting the computer should do the job, too.

As Alsweider said use the shortcut or panic key. But if you want to "uninstall" it just delete the files and shortcuts. There is no traditional app type of thing to uninstall
