It is imperative that you only allow team owners and admins to manage applications. You can go in the *Manage Applications to set this up, if you are a Team Owner. Otherwise, request the team owner to set this up.

Ok will double check. Also I IP whitelisted the app to my Digital Ocean droplet. This is probably also a sensible security measure.
That's a great idea as well. Let me know if the permissions was the problem? Will close the issue if that's the case.
