Client-Side Input Validation on Forms

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Before submitting a form, it is generally best practice to highlight problematic fields when they are not accepted.

Describe the solution you'd like Highlight missing or incorrect fields before they get sent to the Server.

  • [ ] Server URL must be an URL or IP Address
  • [ ] Server URL must start with http:// or https://
• [ ] Login Form
  • [ ] Username must be Alphanumeric and not Empty
  • [ ] Password must be minimum 8 characters long and not Empty
• [ ] Register Form
  • [ ] Username must be Alphanumeric and not Empty
  • [ ] Email must be an Email
  • [ ] Password must be minimum 8 characters long and not Empty
  • [ ] First name only Latin Letters + Umlauts
  • [ ] Last name only Latin Letters + Umlauts
• [x] Library Search
  • [X] No Restrictions
• [ ] Game Edit
  • [ ] Game Image Url must be an URL
• [ ] User Edit
  • [ ] Username must be Alphanumeric and not Empty
  • [ ] Email must be an Email
  • [ ] Password must be minimum 8 characters long and not Empty
  • [ ] First name only Latin Letters + Umlauts
  • [ ] Last name only Latin Letters + Umlauts
  • [ ] Profile Picture URL must be an URL or Empty

I think MahApps Metro supports this out of the box
