There have been significant changes between firmware 1.x and 2.x - I'm not sure how one would go about validating whether this alternative UI still works without destroying anything!
If would be great to update the repo README to confirm whether installation on firmware 2.x does work, and to evaluate the effort required to port the project to this firmware revision if not.
