What is the deal with the Growl.CoreLibrary.pfx? Can not build the project 
without a  password. Is that by design?

yes. the Growl.CoreLibrary and Growl.Connector have to be signed so that they 
can be
used in applications that require signed assemblies (like Outlook add-ins). the
password for both is simply: password
