Can't configure smtp server to other than localhost #32

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to Network tab
2. Add forward notifications
3. Choose Forward to email account
4. Whatever you choose as smtpserver it will store 127.0.0.1. Impossible to
change.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
smtpserver.com is expected, 127.0.0.1 is stored

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.0.4 Growl for windows on Windows7

i cannot duplicate this behavior. following the steps above, i am able to input
a different smtp server value and that value is retained. if i save the
configuration then right-click it to edit it, the stored smtp value is still
correct as well.

is the correct value being shown, but not used? or it is actually showing
127.0.0.1 no matter what you enter?

No, it is 127.0.0.1 that shows when you go back and edit whatever you typed in.

i tried this on a few more computers as well and still could not reproduce it.
just so we are on the same page, here are my exact steps:

1. open Growl settings
2. go to Network tab
3. click on the + icon to add a forward destination
4. select the option for forwarding to email
5. enter a description and email address
6. click the 'edit' link to edit the SMTP information
7. enter a new SMTP server value such as smtp.fake.com or 63.31.251.87 or
whatever
8. click 'done' - at that point the updated smtp information shows up on the
email input form
9. click Save

if i edit the item, the smtp server information is still there for me and set
correctly.

i will keep trying to figure this out, but i honestly dont know what it could
be.

I installed version 2.0.5 at windows7, and the problem is gone. My friend will
also test it now.

I had the same issue, if you click DONE not SAVE the settings will save. This
is just weird user workflow with save vs done option which could be made easier
in my humble opinion.

When you click the 'edit' link to open the SMTP configuration section, the
'Save' button should be disabled. Until you click 'done' (which is what saves
the SMTP portion of the settings), the 'Save' button should continue to be
disabled. So the workflow is:

1. click 'edit' to get SMTP configuration options
2. click 'done' when finished entering SMTP information
3. click 'Save' to save all of the email configuration information and close
the window

were you able to click the 'Save' button without clicking the 'done' button? if
so, that is a bug. i tried it here but was unable to reproduce. if you could
give me the exact steps to reproduce this, that would be super helpful. thanks.
