Discrepancy in data and consequently missed duplicate identification #26

Calibre has 'A Clash of Kings' and 'A Game of Thrones' in the same series, 'Song of Ice and Fire'.

The MXD window however, show a slightl difference. A Clash of Kings is shown twice, once with a slightly different series, 'A' Song of Ice and Fire.

The correction to the series name would have been made in Calibre but it seems never transferred to Marvin.

Calibre seems to believe there are duplicate books in Marvin. This seems to indicate that Calibre ignores series when identifying duplicates, but MXD includes the series. (Was this something I chose in settings without realising...?)

You are correct, calibre ignores the series information and views these as being the same book, as the title and author match. That behavior is in calibre, not MXD. The simple solution is to delete the extra copy in Marvin.
