In Calibre preferences/plugin there is no listing of "get new plugins". And I cannot find the iOS reader app plugin to download. Please advise how to proceed.

thank you

I am attaching 2 screen shots. One is of the Advanced section where I can see no "Plugins" to click. The second is of the Plugins section where I have typed the iOS reader applications to be added and you can see it is not accepted. This is the problem I have been having and do not know how to proceed.

I'm not seeing your attached images, but when you open Preferences in calibre this is what you should see: preferences_dialog

Thank you for the quick response. My preferences look nothing like this. I thought I had the current version but perhaps not. I'm not at computer now. Where do I find my version and if needed download the newest.

I assume you know what a service Calibre offers and now having it work with the excellent Marvin reader is even better. On behalf of so many, thank you

Frank

When calibre is running, the version is displayed in the lower left corner of the main window:

version

To install the latest version (1.29, as of today), go to calibre's download page and select the appropriate version for your OS.

Finally. the problem was I was running a very old version of Calibre and did not know it. All is working fine now. Am I correct that in order to get books onto my device, it must be plugged into computer. Can I get books from Calibre via internet connection?

thanks for the assistance... On Mar 21, 2014, at 7:46 AM, GRiker wrote:

You have several options for getting books into Marvin. You now know about using USB and connecting directly to calibre. You might find this list of Marvin tutorials, in particular Getting books into Marvin.

I would suggest that you visit Marvin's support forum, where you will find lots of helpful people, including Marvin's developer.

For questions about using the calibre plugins supporting Marvin, visit the iOSRA plugin thread and the Marvin XD plugin thread.

This site serves to track bugs reported with the Marvin XD plugin and tracking their resolution.
