Lutris games don't show up if opened before BoilR #234

Open ssartell opened 2 years ago

ssartell commented 2 years ago

Describe the bug BoilR (flatpak) doesn't find any Lutris (flatpak) games unless you reboot the steam deck and open BoilR before you open Lutris.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Switch to desktop
  2. Open Lutris (flatpak)
  3. Open Boilr (flatpak)
  4. Look at games list in "Import Games"

Expected behavior Games from Lutris should show up even Lutris is opened first.

Hi, thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately it is not something that BoilR can fix. It is a combination of how Lutris has made their CLI and how flatpaks work. I will keep an eye out for if anything changes, but I will keep this bug open since there is a workaround and others might find it useful.

Thanks for the explanation! In the meanwhile, can you add some messaging somewhere (instead of displaying the empty list of Lutris games?) that would explain how to work around the issue? Seems like most people trying to use BoilR with Lutris would open Lutris first to add games and then open BoilR to add them to steam and not see their games there and give up on BoilR.
