Imported game shortcuts crash Steam #364

As the title suggests, after I import all my Epic and GOG games into Steam, when I go to my library the whole program outright crashes. The only solution is to manually go in the launcher's installation folder and deleting all its files to let it reinstall (in terms deleting all the shortcuts).

Sorry to hear that. Boiler also has a backup feature where you can restore to a previous version.

Is this on Windows?

I am having a similar issue. Although my steam is not crashing outright, BoilR makes big picture mode launch into an empty blue screen.

Renaming the userdata/{id}/config/shortcuts.vdf to .vdf_bak makes big picture mode launch again (but of course with no shortcuts).

Tried reinstalling steam and let BoilR create the shortcuts.vdf file from scratch several times but it did not help.

Happy to provide more info/logs if you need them. I had a look inside shortcuts.vdf but did not see anything strange.

Update: I just tried it again and this time it worked without me changing anything, after not working many times in a row.

So, issue solved for me.
