[QUESTION]Keepass2Android doesn't show current files in Dropbox #2672

... Find the "Version" information and provide it here:

1.10-pre

A Dropbox shared KP2A file is not updating changes made by KP on my laptop. I created a copy of the KP2A file using my laptop/FileManager, but the copy doesn't show when opening Dropbox on two different Androids. The Win10/FileManager shows the 2 files but both Androids only see the one original file. And the original file contents are not updating.

I know there's something where KP2A reverts to a local copy but I can't find a way to refresh the folder view (with 2 files) or get the changes made to the original file to show.

did you double check that the changes got synchronized correctly with the cloud? What's the modification date of the files when you check in the browser on https://www.dropbox.com/home ?

Yes, the file has the last update timestamp.

I finally made a copy of the KP file with a different name.

That worked OK.

There’s something about KP2A using old versions locally in the phone.

The name of the file is correct but an updated record does not show in the file.

Is there some way to not choose the local copies?

Are you using KP2A's built-in Dropbox support or did you open the file through the Dropbox app on the phone? The former is suggested, the latter includes yet another level of caching which is difficult to precdict. If you open the database, the filename should show as something like dropbox://...

I didn't know there was built-in support for Dropbox. I'll try that. What was driving me crazy was that I would change the name of the file, then open the new name and the data had not changed.Best regards,Bill Hassell(971) 354-1825...Sent from Bill's phone thingy. -------- Original message --------From: PhilippC @.> Date: 10/7/24 11:20 PM (GMT-08:00) To: PhilippC/keepass2android @.> Cc: pooderbill @.>, Author @.> Subject: Re: [PhilippC/keepass2android] [QUESTION]Keepass2Android doesn't show current files in Dropbox (Issue #2672) Are you using KP2A's built-in Dropbox support or did you open the file through the Dropbox app on the phone?
