Copy comment (Notizen) copies whole field #689

Hi

I have one thing which bother me real time. I'm filling the comment field (Notizen) with important information, but I can't copy one row (or parts). I can only copy the whole section.

Example: 1 entry in KeePass: Mail account Username: Santa Password: 123 Comments: Servername IMAP: abc.google.com Servername POP: pop.google.com .... I would like to be able to copy JUST "abc.google.com"

Thank you for your support to make this happen!

Thid is the excepted behavior. Look at custom fields.

Cheers! I know what you feel pain from. I used to do this in beginning. But you can use custom fields as many you want for your example credit card Field CVV Field expiry Field pin All can be copy fast. And made accessible through keyboard. Kp2a ⌨️

If you have more cards use template's entry with custom fields pre defined.

Use notes just as notes. For dump off text info. It's a textfiEld Not single field.

The user should be able to select a portion of text from the notes field, just like with other keepass clients and also like many other places in the Android OS. Was there a design or security concern that resulted in an all-or-nothing copy method being implemented for notes?

Custom fields are great and they have their place, but it's very time consuming and much harder to organize a bunch of arbitrary data into custom fields. It's also a burden on the user to shoehorn infrequently used data into custom fields just in case they might need to copy/paste a small portion of it at some point in the future while using the phone app.
