5 years ago Seems to be a rom issue, one of the devs replied:
"The issue is complicated,We need to run NFE Mcreigstry and since NFE got Iris which is a big issue. But i hope we will find a solution."
Tried several NFE Pie ports from XDA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development), all with the same result when trying to activate fingerprint (translated from screenshot):
"Error occured: Data could not be encrypted. This can happen when fingerprints are added or deleted in the system configuration while Keepas2Android is waiting for a fingeprint."
This is from the FAQ of one of the roms but didn't help:
"6. Fingerprint Is Not Working in Apps like paypal, ebay & play store. How To Fix? A: Lock The Device -Now Unlock with pattern or pin or password ( Not with IRIS or FP or Face ) -Then Playstore, paypal and other FP related apps will work."
There is also no mod to enable fingeprint unlock after reboot, which is also a known issue. Screenshot and logs attached. Latest Keepass2Android version 1.07-r1 from playstore with samsungs android 9 bugfix (I hoped it would fix this issue, too).
