I do really like Trello, as it's easy to understand, very clear and intuitive and just all in all nice to look at.
BUT, for programming projects, I'd still prefer using GitHub, as especially later on, you can built into your workflow so much better, and there is way automization to be had.
In the end I don't care that much, and if the others prefer Trello for its clean UI, I have no problem going with that.
