The current slicer does all slicing using the CPU (although we now can also let Slic3r do the slicing and import the resulting SVG files.
However slicing using GPU should be faster. As stated by @X3msnake https://github.com/X3msnake, a nice Javascript/Node.JS implementation is the Hackathon Slicer https://github.com/Formlabs/hackathon-slicer.
I have ported and integrated this into our slicer. With an integrated graphics card (using Benchy3D model) it improves speed by 3 times. Will have to test this with a dedicated graphics card...
Will upload new version this week.

Source is uploaded. Did not have time yet to make a new build.
Two examples how to use (first uses hackathon slicer)
gui mode - dialog to select stl file and photon file, GPU slicing, sliceheight 0.05mm:
>python3 PhotonSlicer.py -s dialog -p dialog -f False -g True
safe mode - command line only, CPU slicing, sliceheight 0.05mm:
>python3 PhotonSlicer.py -s STLs/3dBenchy.stl
Build is uploaded to Win64 folder. It is tested and working standalone, but not yet when called upon from another directory like MeshMixer does. Small fix, will do this tonight.
Fix done, all seems to work well as plugin from within MeshMixer. Will make youtube video tomorrow to showcase users the slicer and guide them through the setup process.
Youtube video is uploaded (not great quality since it is my first edited video ever, but it shows how it works) https://youtu.be/KInOvXrpWXY
upload this to the photonsters Youtube channel, has better visibility.
i believe you have admin rights already. if not just send me your youtube email trough fb pm ;)
