I believe having just the right-side bracket indicates a (text) prompt. So I don't think not having a left-side bracket is an oversight and needs to be added. On the contrary, having brackets on both sides of the username would look quite bad/stupid in my opinion. Maybe just change the right-side bracket to colon would suffice?
