MTX2 Frequency setting intermittent operation #5

The setting of the MTX2 frequency is a little hit and miss. Sometimes it sets correctly other times it doesn't.

Should be OK now. The code now disables the GPS (which was sending data on the serial port), plus various other changes to the initialisation sequence.
