This doesn't make much sense... Can you tell me what your PATH environment
variable is?
You can see it by typing:
echo %PATH%
in the console, or by following this screenshot:
http://damnvid.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/img/win32-setpath.noinclude.png

Better yet, do both and see if the value is the same.

PATH was:
C:\Perl\site\bin;C:\Perl\bin;C:\Program Files\Common Files\NetSarang;C:\Program
Files\ThinkPad\Utilities;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem
;C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\;;C:\Program
Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\;C:\Program Files\SecureCRT\;C:\Program
Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\;C:\Program
Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\;C:\WINDOWS\System32;C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Lenovo;C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\;C:\Program
Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio
Shared\DLLShared\;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio
Shared\9.0\DLLShared\;C:\WINDOWS\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0;C:\Program
Files\ThinkPad\ConnectUtilities

I made some changes:
C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\Program
Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\;C:\Program
Files\SecureCRT\;C:\WINDOWS\System32;C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Lenovo;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\DLLShared\;C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Roxio
Shared\9.0\DLLShared\;C:\WINDOWS\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0;C:\Program
Files\ThinkPad\ConnectUtilities

Installed 1.6 and it worked.

THANKS ALOT

Ah, indeed, this was due to some blank PATH components. I am setting the
priority to "Low" because this bug happens in a very specific case (a
user-edited PATH with blank stuff).
Anyway, should be fixed in r328.

Uhhh my god!
Thath all problems only because some problems in my PATH environment?
Jesus crist!
Why?
The f..ng M$ environment need to work a GPL program.
I like L...x.

The solution:
I cleared all path env. var. from my personal, and edited a global var. so
seems like a normal Path variable.

Now it seems all OK.
F..n M$.
I tell you who partner from 1995, and MAPS, and MSDE, and etc.
I don't understood anything, feel like a stupid children.

Please in the ini file add a line debug=1 or 0
please. :-)
in linx env. this a good choice.

As DamnVid basically is a collection of Python scripts, it is highly unlikely
that it is a Windows problem.

Indeed, this is not a Windows problem. The bug is tagged as OpSys-Windows
because only Windows users seem to have unclean PATH environment variables
(those with empty PATH components). While this can be a bad thing, all Windows
apps play fine with this, therefore so should DamnVid, instead of failing to
start for such a little detail.
