That is quite strange indeed. "?DAMNVID_MY_VIDEOS?" is supposed to be a
pseudo-folder pointing to your my videos folder.
I have a few more requests for you:
- Please attach damnvid.log (not the .exe.log in Program Files\DamnVid, but the
one in %APPDATA%\DamnVid)
- Please also attach damnvid.ini (in the same directory as damnvid.log), to
check if your preferences are in order
As a workaround, you might try changing the output folder in the YouTube module
configuration (not the one in the General preferences).

Hi,
The workaround did the trick. I also know what went wrong, I renamened my
documents and my 'my videos' folder. Apperantly Windows or DamnVid is not using
the correct environment variables...
I have added the log's you requested.
Good luck in fixing it (if you want to)
Regards.

Well, DamnVid calls the GetShellPath (or something like that) Windows API to
find where your "My videos" folder is; I did test it myself by moving the
folder around... However, I moved the "my videos" folder using the "Move..."
button inside the Properties dialog of the "My Videos" folder. I don't know if
renaming it within explorer does the right thing.
I'm marking this as Invalid for now, but it still troubles me...

I have also used the "properties -> move" function for renaming otherwise it
indeed does mess up your system.
Then it could be that I've installed it on a dutch Windows version?
I'd like to do some extra tests or provide extra information about my settings
or system configuration if you want to.
Any ideas in getting my system to a fresh start? Does 'uninstall Damnvid' clear
all my settings?

Very well, please do.
Uninstalling/reinstalling does nothing to your preferences. Just delete
%APPDATA%\DamnVid and launch DamnVid again, then will think it's been freshly
installed.
Here are some testing ideas:
- Try with the "My Videos" folder at the default location (in My Documents for
Windows XP, or in Users\Your username in Vista/7)
- Try it with another folder on another partition
- Try it with a folder at the root level of a partition (C:\Vids for example)
- Check what the "Default output folder" is in the preferences each time
