Virtual keyboard does not react correctly

1. Download dswiki-0.3alpha2, install
2. try typing anything in search mode

When I try typing, sometimes the letters are not the right ones (e.g. when
I type q I get u and so on). I am sure it's not my touchscreen, since it
works fine with other games/homebrew with on-screen keyboards (I also used
the drawing mode in the Pictochat, and found that the touchscreen really
can't be the problem).

Using the m3ds real and the latest firmware. I tried formatting the microsd
and re-installing, but that did not help. It's the same problem with other
microsd-cards. 

Any ideas? (Also, I apologize for my English. I would probably even have
trouble explaining this in German, haha).

Have you tried configuring your DS to English temporarily (if that's possible) 
and see what happens?
