ok i know this is not the way to fill this out but i need to know a few facts

1. has any asked looki if the greasemonkey script we use allowed if so what was 
there answer

2. does the script interfer with there game coding at all in any way shape or 
form

the reasons i ask this is because today 211 people have been banned from the 
english server and i have been told that over 1000 people have been banned from 
the french server if you could get back to me on this as soon as that would be 
great

Dear andrehill947,

First let me point out that from last decision from Looki, Use of greasemonkey 
and scanners are completely forbidden. it goes against the rule regarding the 
use of external software that modified or altered the gameplay. from users it 
is true that most uses the greasemonkey to export parameters to the dataengine. 
but greasemonkey allows much more that this also.

As you may know, Looki has updated the game so as it now detects greasemonkey 
users and automatically ban them for 24h the first time, and according to info, 
2nd time may be permanent.

Regarding the use of the dataengine itself, only the scanner is officially 
forbidden, Looki has not yet given any official statement regarding the rest of 
the dataengine, so we can say there are still neutral to it

ok but my point is if the script does not interfer with the game code i.e. 
interate with it in a way to change a few aspects of its code, how would they 
detect it my empire only uses it to collect wormholes as that is its main 
feature. so my 2 questions up above have still not been answered. NOW when the 
english server first started i asked the admin at the time whos was repsolrider 
otherwise knowen as RR if it was ok to use it he looked at it and said YES so 
why the clap down now, this last point i know you cant answer as you are not 
anything to do with looki

andrehill947, i believe they have inserted a kind of javascript/ajax code 
parser that check the sourcecode of the html page to check if it has been 
altered and the result is posted when you click to send request to the server.

to be a devil advocate i would say it is interaction through alteration of the 
code and that is forbidden by looki :(

we had an official statement from looki, they claim to have found the script 
users from the info on their serveurs

Hello, je ne peux malheureusement répondre sur le forum, je suis ban du forum 
pour avoir envoyé à looki un message leur disant que c'était tous des idiots 
fini, je les ai d'ailleurs prévenu que je continuerai d'utiliser le script car 
leur ban selon leur propre règle à savoir, automatisation des actions en jeu 
et possibilité de faire des choses impossible n'entre pas dans le cadre du 
script du data engine.

Je serais certainement rebanni et cela peut être définitivement, mais je me 
dois de luter contre l'injustice lookienne ...

Bon courage, et à la limite, je pourrais te filer mon compte... Je touche plus 
vraiment à ce projet et n'ai plus envie depuis quelques temps ;)

Grease monkey ne sert que peu pour les vortex, il sert à mettre à jour un 
tout et surtout à ne pas ouvrir cette saloperie de tchat, concernant ton 
compte non merci, si je me fait bannir ou pas il est prévu que je m'arrête.

Concernant le xml, c'est très bien mais qui dans la communauté est capable de 
créé un script permettant de l'importer ? Les mêmes gars que looki à 
sévèrement traité de tricheur, nous ...

- Oui, sa c'est a priori mort, plus de modif de leurs "précieux" code. (qui 
contient du php coté client... ahem...)

- Moi, assez facilement.... mais leurs promesses après xD

Sinon, Addons d'import de vortex dispo en téléchargement.

Wormhole import available in download area. This will solve the main issue of 
GreaseMonkey script. Nothing else may be corrected for now....

Puis ce " qu'on " demandais depuis longtemps à finit par arrivé... Dommage 
pour la partie pillage qui ne fonctionnera jamais sans GreaseMonkey :$

Ba looki à rien compris de toute façon, ce qui est faisable avec greasemonkey 
est totalement faisable sans, les joueurs qui ont utilisé gm à des fins plus 
ou moins interdite sortiront des logiciels qui le feront aussi ... Et 
malheureusement pour eux, ceux ci ne seront pas aussi facile à détecter que 
gm, et ceux ci par contre feront ramer leur serveur pourri ...
