Issue rendering in SharePoint 2010 #744

Hi, Im Using flot in order to build some charts, everything works fine in 
chrome and FF BUT in IE 9 is not working because by default SharePoint has the 
tag <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8"/> that means the Document 
Mode is IE8 Standards, I wouldn't like to change this tag to IE=9 because there 
are some issues between SharePoint and IE 9, is there any way to fix that??
