One-click access to speed and altitude graphs #55

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
It would be cool if the speed and altitude graphs were accessible vie one-click
from statistics screen (i.e. on Speed or Altitude area respectively), not only
via settings screen.
Or is there some problem displaying them when tracking (logging)?

I don't think it's necessary to update them once they are drawn. One tap
wherever on the graph as "back" command would be also very nice. Rotating them
by the G-sensor would be super cool.

BTW: Thanx for other responses.

I mean if you don't have special reason for not doing so.

Hi Jakub, in version 4.3 its a matter of two clicks. Rotating and live update
should work.
Please report always which version and which device you are using.

gcc 4.2, WM6.1, MDA Compact V (HTC Touch Diamond 2)
sorry not mentioning it. Maybe you could add one template question in the
"Feature request" issue type (btw you don't ask about the device in "Defect
report from user" type).
Well, super cool. Two clicks is fine.
Is the 4.3 available yet (it's not under downloads). I've got the 4.3beta2 from
the forum but it does not seem to be one click (the buttons screen is not
available while tracking).

Hi Jakub, version 4.3 is not officially released. In the forum there is
4.3beta4.
You must read the documentation ;-) The menu page is accessible always by
long-click or double-click on the left button, regardless what it is showing.
This "trick" you must know - I don't know how to make it intuitive, perhaps a
one time shown message box?
Nevertheless your idea with one click on some fields in main screen is good. My
todo-list is getting longer and longer...

Well, I guess I should sync the code and next time send a commit proposal
instead of a Feature request ;-)
Yeah. Sorry, I didn't expect you would update the docu even for beta.

Well, maybe you could create small versions of the button icon and show them in
the upper-right (or whatever other) corner of the button (maybe in gray), just
like the WM keyboard does.
That way you would be able to use all three buttons with long/double-click in
the future or even change the double-click meaning of the button context-wise.
However, until then one time message box is just fine.

Is your TODO list published somewhere?
Anyways, I must say this is a great tracker. Much better than anything else
I've tried before.
