NOTE: GHOP still running, but no new claims can be made #114

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
GHOP will still run until beginning of February, but no new tasks can be
claimed any more (see timeline in GHOP FAQ).

If you want to do some task and help with MoinMoin, we don't want to hold
you back - but you won't get any google prize for it and it won't be part
of this contest.

You can find lots of tasks on the MoinMoin wiki, see http://moinmo.in/ !

There is always lots of todo: finding and fixing bugs, improving some
features, writing unit tests, improving translation, ...

Cachelion, I am feeling a bit kidded, what do you think this task is about? :-)

I claim this task too, we can battle it out ;-)

cachelion, please present any reason that makes you think that you are better
suited
to finish this task that florenzi.

I am pretty sure that our (the MoinMoin team's) non-existant FAQ would allow us
to
deny a claim even if was the first one under the precondition of a particular
weather condition. This is because we think that this non-existant FAQ is a
direct
translation of the rules.
So we have to decide based on true experience, knowledge and potential.
Personally, I prefer butterflies over allegedly claimed experience or deficient
ambitions pressing the shift-key on the keyboard. What do you think?

florenzi, I have yet to see visual evidence of your butterfly programming. on
the
other hand, I have not claimed a single task to this date: project
administrators can
attest to this fact. as for my deficient shift-key ambitions, I can attribute
this to
my fatal (but only) weakness: ncs (no capitalization syndrome)

also, tw-pub...@gmx.de is cheating by claiming a task as a project
administrator, he
has an unfair advantage over other people.

With regards to the shift key, I have to clarify that I meant this mysterious
Thomas
who is abusing his power by trying to claim a task as a project administrator.

Why do you think that not having claimed a single task ensures your success
here? Do
not forget that we all live in a performance society. And performance does not
mean
not having claimed a single task at all. We might want to consider referring to

some dead white men who prefer to talk about the struggle for social evolution
like
H. Spencer.
Any other idea that truely certifies your believe in your skills that allow you
to
incur this task?

I do not claim this Task

To claim or not to claim, that is the question;
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The tasks and challenges without fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing, end them? To run, to sleep.

cachelion, judging by your nickname, I would say you are unsuitable for this
task,
and are simply jealous of my amazing butterfly skills. Your name suggestions
you are
a lion, that is cached, but what proof of this do you have? For all we know you
could
simply be a zebra in disguise, or a disgruntled Indian employee from the huge
MoinMo.in server farm.

Thomas, ZOMG U R teh 13337!!!!!!

xorAxAx, personally I think you are just jealous too, and really want this task
for
yourself, but cannot claim it as you would be violating rule #240.

E.Liubarskij, I for one welcome our new task disclaiming overlords.
